RINGZA is a vaginal system made of flexible silicone. It slowly releases two female hormones: segesterone acetate (SA) and ethinyl estradiol (EE).
This prevents the release of the egg from the ovary (ovulation).
Clinical trials found that RINGZA was 97.5% effective at preventing pregnancy. This means that about 2 to 4 out of 100 women may become pregnant during the first year they use RINGZA.
